Activities at Storkesøen

Storkesøen has a lot to offer and is situated in beautiful nature and quiet surroundings. Perfect for recharging in a busy everyday life. Here you will find a large, beautiful playground with a green area and the possibility to borrow games at the reception. We also have a large barbecue hut that can be borrowed free of charge. Storkesøen is within walking distance to Ribe- the oldest town in Denmark. Ribe has a lot of good restaurants, exciting shops and sights. And finally, we of course have the fishing lakes.

Playground

In our large playground you will find zipwire, swings, climbing frames and much more. You and your children can spend many happy hours here. The playground is located in a large and lovely green area, where you will also find a field with football goals and 2 pétanque courts. It is the ideal place for games and play. Whether you are into ladder golf, football or KUBB, there are plenty of options.

If you want to borrow games or a ball, you can do so at reception by paying a deposit of DKK 100. You can of course also bring your own games.

The playground is located near the children’s lake, so you and your children can easily explore both places.

The lakes at Storkesøen have good paths where you can enjoy a wonderful walk or run. If you take the route around all the lakes, you will have covered approx. 2.5 km. You will also find several benches along the paths where you can sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the lakes. It is an area that invites relaxation and enjoyment.

Your dog is also welcome around our beautiful nature. Just remember to keep it on the lead and to remove its remains. There are dog bags and waste bins in several places in our area, so you can easily help us keep Storkesøen nice and clean.

Please note that it is not allowed to ride horses or use bicycles and scooters on the paths.You will find toilet facilities at all 3 lakes.

Barbecue hut

Located by Storesø behind the reception building, you will find our covered barbecue hut. Here we offer charcoal grills and table bench sets for use by all our guests.

The barbecue hut is free to use on a first-come, first-served basis, and the best of all is that it costs nothing to use! However, we ask you to be kind and clean up after yourself and consider the other guests, so that we maintain the pleasant atmosphere that characterizes Storkesøen.

Fishing lakes

Come and experience our excellent fishing lakes, where you can fish for rainbow trout, golden trout as well as brook and brook trout – all while enjoying the beautiful nature. We have as many as 3 large fishing lakes and even a children’s lake, so you will definitely find a good place, both as an adult or a child. Make use of our good paths around the lakes, where you will find both benches and shelters along the water.

If you don’t have your own fishing rod, don’t worry. You can rent one at our reception.
